Advocates for Access (AFA) is a community advocacy group where PACE consumers focus on local advocacy issues. If you value community involvement and making a difference, AFA is for you!
Currently, AFA has three advocacy sub-committees;
- Housing–advocating for more accessible, affordable housing in our community
- Healthcare–raising awareness about healthcare accessibility for people with disabilities
- Transportation–working towards more transportation options and reinforcing accessibility principles
If you have are interested in these topics or have other topics you would like to bring to AFA, come to a meeting at 1:30PM on the first Wednesday of every month at PACE’s office, or contact us. Due to COVID-19, participants are currently meeting on zoom.
