Deaf Services

PACE offers important assistance to the Deaf Community of East-Central Illinois. We provide advocacy with other organizations, information about assistive technology for the Deaf, and peer support.

There are some key components that make this program unique:

Deaf Advisory Committee
Nine times a year, the Deaf community of East-Central Illinois meets at PACE to socialize, access information, and work on advocacy topics. DAC is currently meeting on zoom due to COVID-19. If interested, please contact us for the meeting information.

American Sign Language (ASL) Class
PACE offers ASL classes to the public at least twice a year. These classes are designed to introduce the public to basic ASL language and structure, as well as to introduce community members to Deaf Culture. Please visit the ASL Class page to learn more about our upcoming classes.

American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreter Referral List
PACE has a current list of local ASL interpreters that individuals and organizations can access.
